Word Cloud
A quick, honest picture of which words your chapter leans on.
The Word Cloud draws the vocabulary of your chapter, with the words you lean on drawn large, and colour-codes them by kind — names, objects, senses, emotions, actions, and more — so a crutch word or an over-used gesture surfaces instantly. Common filler words are filtered out, and a full count beside the cloud lists every word with its exact tally. Click any word to light up every place it's used.

- 1Open a chapter in Single chapter view, then choose Word Cloud from the Review menu.
- 2Scan for any word that's larger — or more frequent — than you expected.
- 3Click it to highlight every use in the manuscript.
- 4Decide whether the repetition is intentional — or worth varying.
Word Cloud is deliberately chapter-scoped, so it is disabled in Continuous manuscript. Switch to Single chapter when you want to inspect one chapter's vocabulary.
How It Helps
- Words are sized by how much they stand out and colour-coded by kind — names, objects, body, sensory, emotion, action, and texture
- Common filler words and very short words are excluded, keeping the cloud meaningful
- A companion list counts every word, with totals for words, unique words, and repeats
- Click a word to highlight all of its occurrences in the chapter
- It's a picture of your habits, not a quality score — a fast way to catch a crutch word before a reader does
