Appearance

Set the mood of your workspace — the interface palette, the colour of the page, and the type you write in.

You'll spend hours here, so it should feel right. From your avatar menu, open Theme & Page to choose an interface palette and a separate paper colour for the page you write on. Fonts, sizes, and spacing are set from the toolbar — independently for Edit and Read modes, and remembered per book.

Theme & Page — interface and paper palettes

Quick start
  1. 1Open your avatar menu and choose Theme & Page.
  2. 2Pick an interface theme and a page (paper) colour — changes apply instantly.
  3. 3Back on the canvas, use the toolbar pills to set font, size, and line spacing.
  4. 4Adjust Edit and Read modes separately to taste.

Theme & Page

  • Choose an interface theme — the palette of the app chrome around your writing
  • Choose a page colour separately — the paper your prose sits on
  • Audition freely; every choice applies live, with no confirm step
  • Settings are remembered on your device

Type & Spacing

  • Pick from several classic literary body fonts
  • Set font size and line spacing from the toolbar pills
  • Edit and Read modes each keep their own type settings
  • All type settings are saved per book

Try a warm paper with a serif font for long drafting sessions — it's easier on the eyes than stark white, and it makes the page feel like a book from the first word.

Every great story starts with a single sentence.
