Snippets
A pocket for the lines you're not ready to cut — save prose aside and reuse it whenever it fits.
Not every good sentence belongs where you wrote it. Snippets let you set a paragraph aside without deleting it — a killed darling, a description you'll want later, a recurring phrase. Save it, organise it by category, and drop it back into any chapter when the moment comes. Formatting is preserved.

✦Quick start
- 1Right-click a paragraph and choose Save as snippet; give it a name and category.
- 2Open the Snippets panel from the Manuscript menu (or press Ctrl J).
- 3Browse or filter your snippets by category.
- 4Choose Add to chapter, then pick the exact drop position in the manuscript.
Working With Snippets
- Save any paragraph as a snippet, keeping its bold, italic, and formatting
- Organise snippets into categories you create and manage
- Filter and browse the library from the Snippets panel
- Insert a snippet through guided drop positions between paragraphs
- In Split editor, choose a drop position on either open chapter
- Delete snippets you no longer need

Treat Snippets as a safety net for revision. Instead of hesitating over a cut, stash the line — it's out of your way but never truly gone.
